The best Italian food I’ve ever had! My husband grew up coming here and we made the 2 hour drive to come for dinner. I’m obsessed. The history, the service, the atmosphere and THE FOOD. Absolute perfection. Thank you to our server Nicole who was AMAZING and so pleasant! Our compliments to the chef..DELICIOUS!

So sad to have to write this. I have gone here for years and years with my family and what we experienced tonight was awful. I fear for our safety in the food we received. The worse besides the food quality was the manager tonight was rude, unresponsive and cold. Half of my party ordered the clam linguine, white sauce. See photo for what they all received. Water, no flavor and questionable meat. I ordered the filet and felt so robbed. It was sitting under the heat lamp for some time. My plate hot, the inside of my steak cold, with a side of one canned peach and a piece of toast for $30 something. Glasses were contaminated with old lipstick and a dirty table. I have always, always enjoyed this place... what has happened?! To have a manager on duty who rolls his eyes to actual serious issues with our food and storms off, no apologies no skills as a manager it was a joke. He made sure we would never return. You lost loyal customers+ family they would bring. I have to say our waitress was a gem, brought candles for our desserts since we were still starving to help us feel at peace celebrating March birthdays. Still with her genuine assistance we won't return based on whoever that manager was tonight. Didn't even introduce himself or want to right any wrong and hygiene of the restaurant was so concerning. I felt that we were at a chain restaurant that could care less.

Yes, that is that much sautéed garlic on my steak. One of the best places I have ever been. We went on Mothers Day and even packed the service by Scott was great. Quick drinks. and incredible food. I feel sorry for the chumps who had to go to Olive Garden. Support your local restaurants.

Been dining there 45 years and always loved it - but there’s been a change in the last year that is not good. This once well oiled operation now lacks direction and above all management control. The food is still excellent for the most part but it is WOEFULLY UNDERSTAFFED! The result is, on a Monday evening, a three hour project to get a casual Italian dining experience. Completely unacceptable for the price. Seated 45 minutes AFTER reservation, ten minutes to get drink order taken, ten more for the drink and taking our order. Then 40 minutes to have basic entree served (spaghetti, chicken parm). Totally understaffed in the dining areas (1 busboy, front desk help clearing tables, general confusion) and based on serving time way too little experienced help in the kitchen. Sad to see a first class restaurant slip to this level. It was our family’s last trip in that door after several generations of utmost loyalty.
Sorry but there are way too many other good Italian options that act like they really want your business.

This was my first visit to Cortese Restaurant. I had a craving for Spaghetti & Meatballs. It was crowded when I got there and was able to grab a seat at the bar right away. The bar tender was terrific, courteous and attentive to my needs. I ordered the Homemade Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce & Meatballs. It came with a salad which was very nice. The Marinara Sauce however was so garlicky that if you are not a fan of garlic it would be hard to eat. I am a fan of garlic as I cook with a lot of it. With that being said this sauce was over the top garlicky and borderline eatable. Just my opinion but make your own mind up when you try this dish.
